Tim Paciorek, President of Paciorek Electric, Inc., started his electrical career at a young age when he stuck a curtain rod into an electrical panel at his parents' home and started a small fire. Later, still curious, he dropped a plugged-in hairdryer into the toilet. On another occasion, he decided to see what would happen if he vacuumed the water out of the toilet with a household vacuum! In all these incidents, Tim never got electrocuted! So...
In 1989, Tim started his studies at Smith’s Vocational High School in Northampton and pursued an education in the electrical trade for four years. During this time, Tim participated in the Co-Op Program and worked for his uncle's business, "John P. Paciorek, Electrical Contractor". After graduating high school, Tim continued to work for John Paciorek for another four-and-a-half years, gaining electrical work experience in the industrial, commercial and residential fields. He gained many years of experience in commercial wiring by working long hours from August through December at Mount Snow in Vermont rewiring lodges, condos, and ski lifts. He also installed all types of wiring at many other commercial establishments including a huge amount of time performing wiring at a plastics industrial plant.
In June, 1997 Tim became a licensed Journeyman Electrician and started working on weekends building his business.
Then, on July 4th, 1998, Tim realized his dream of starting his own electrical business and operated it by himself for the next five years.
In 1998, Tim became a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) and was a board member from '07 - '09 and back on the board currently since 2023. Tim has continued to this day as a member and attends monthly meetings for up to the date code changes and updates in the electrical industry.
In 2003, Tim hired his first apprentice--his brother, Tony Paciorek, who was then finishing his junior year in the electrical shop at Smith Vocational High School. Tony worked with the company from 2003 until 2008 and back full time in 2020.
In 2005, Tim joined the electrical advisory board at Smith's Vocational HS and has been a board member ever since. Tim has a strong desire to "give back" to the students coming into this career and helping give guidence and input on the direction and needs of the electrical shop. Tim has also helped other school's (Smith Academy HS, Hampshire Regional HS, Smith Vocational HS) speaking to students about various career choices, mock interviews, and business topics to help them further their career. He has been continuing this to this day.
In 2006, Tim earned his Master Electrician license. He incorporated his company and changed the name from “Timothy M. Paciorek, Electrician” to “Paciorek Electric, Inc.”
The company quickly expanded. Tim hired another apprentice electrician, Jesse Camp, who was with the company for approximatly 10yrs. Also hired was a business student, Jill Strycharz, as part-time help in the office for the summer. The following year, Tim hired Keith Jenkins, a licensed electrician he'd worked under during his apprenticeship with his uncle. Keith had worked as an electrician for over twenty years and had a wealth of knowledge in residential wiring and troubleshooting. Others electricians were hired through the years. Some have come and gone for various reasons, but we've always had a core group that have always seemed like family.
In 2008, two more licensed electricians were hired by Paciorek Electric, Inc, Luis Camacho and Michael Brooks. Between them they had years of experience. They had worked in supervisory and electrical wiring positions with large contractors, as an electrical inspector, and in customer relations. Luis worked with the company for six months until leaving for a security job and Michael stayed for two years until moving back to Florida.
In 2010, Kris Forrette was hired. Kris has worked in the residential and commercial markets including installing wiring for fire & sprinkler systems and wiring in several medical buildings. Licensed since 2002, Kris has a positive can-do attitude and lots of qualities proven to be an asset to the company.
In 2011, Wendy Lussier was hired as an office assistant. This was a long overdue hire as prior to this, Tim performed 100% of the office work himself for the first 13 years of being in business. Today, Wendy is the Office manager and has her own assistant.
In 2009, Tim became an assistant electrical inspector for the Town of Hatfield, which required additional continual education.
In 2020, Tim became the head electrical inspector for the Town of Hatfield. Any jobs Paciorek Electric does in Hatfield get inspected by the alternate inspector to ensure no conflicts of interest.
In 2014, Paciorek Electric had another big growth when 2 more licensed electricians were hired and 2 additional apprentice electricians. All but 2 of the apprentice electricians that were hired since Tim started his business had their start at Smith's Vocational High School, as Tim himself did.
In 2020, Shane started working for us. He came with a great "all around" knowledge of the electrical field having worked with a couple companies though the start of his career, including Mt. Snow electrical dept.
In 2020, Nick got licensed, who had been with Paciorek Electric since starting his career. Nick has proved to be a great electrician and employee and has become part of the "family".
In 2021, Colin got licensed, who had been with Paciorek Electric since starting his career. Colin has also proved to be a great electrician and we are happy to have him on our team!
In 2021, A proud moment for Tim, his own son Jayden "Rocky" Paciorek graduated the electrical program at Smith Voke and began working for Paciorek Electric full time after working for many years durring the summers and on Co-op. Aiden has also started working full time after graduating with Rocky.....Aiden has also been working summers and on co-op for many years with us.
In 2022, Tim's brother Tony became licensed. Tony was Tim's 1st apprentice for about 5yrs. He left for some years while pursuing a restaurant career but always helped out in electrical and came back full time in 2020. Tony's knowledge is vast and he's an excellent troubleshooter.
In 2022, Lucas got Licensed, who had been with Paciorek Electric since starting his career. Lucas has also proved to not only be a great electrician, but a "jack of all trades" and always figures out how to do what needs to be done.
In 2023, 3 more apprentices were hired from Smith Voke: Alex, Hayzen, and Riley. All three worked through the summer and after school and school vacations....They will be joining us on Co-op starting in February 2024 where they will continue building their knowledge and on their way to becoming great electricians.
Also in 2023, another proud personal moment for Tim....Rocky, Tim's son, became a licensed electrician. He's been watching and helping dad since he was 5 or 6yrs old and at 20yrs old, now a licensed electrician!
Each time one of Tim's employees get licensed, it is a very proud moment for him and the company. It is a great accomplishment for one to become licensed in the trade. The schooling and working hours are much. The experience they get through the years can't be taught, it must be achieved!
Tim has always strived to provide his customers with the level of professional service they deserve and expect. Paciorek Electric, Inc. follows a strict “Code of Ethics." Tim and his employees take pride in their work and they make sure you get great customer service. Tim stays on the cutting edge of new innovations within the trade, attending seminars all over the country, inspector/contractor meetings and trade shows to continually improve the company’s knowledge of the electrical industry.
Tim always enjoys company "outings" with his employees whether it be go-carting, boating, zip-lining, trade shows, or simply going out to dinner......It is important to give the employees the feeling of being PART of an organization...not just a "number". Keeping the positive attitudes up and keeping this a great place to work is very important as it shows through in customer service. Many of the employees have been with Paciorek Electric for over 10 years. As a matter of fact, new company policy brought 2 of our employees and their spouses on an all expense paid trip to Nashville for being with the company for over 10yrs to show appreciation. They will then get a trip every 5yrs after that! Again, we are like family.
The appreciation Paciorek Electric has for their employees we hope shine through to YOU, the customer. Happy employees = Happy customers.
